Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and Wasser Berlin International Support Participation of Innovative New Companies

Wasser Berlin International, the International Trade Fair and Congress for Water and Wastewater, and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) are again supporting the participation of innovative new companies in 2015. From 24 to 27 March 2015, for the third time in succession, Wasser Berlin International will be supporting a sponsored combined display and promoting technological innovation in the German water industry.

The aim of this development programme is to help companies gain a foothold in the market, in particular by placing a greater focus on them at an international trade fair. The following statistics underline the international dimension of Wasser Berlin International: exhibitors from 36 countries and trade visitors from 94 countries took part in the last event in April 2013.

The challenges facing the world’s water industry are immense. In many cases new companies are able to achieve market success with innovative products and services. The BMWi development programme will take over up to 80 per cent of the cost of a professional display.

Any newly founded, innovative company in the water, wastewater or infrastructure industry based in the Federal Republic of Germany is eligible to apply and obtain funding. The company’s age must not exceed ten years, the workforce must number less than 50 and turnover must be below ten million euros.

The project team of Wasser Berlin International will organise the combined display and the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) will handle funding procedures. Full details of the conditions of participation can be found on the website of Wasser Berlin International (www.wasser-berlin.de), under Aussteller-Service/Standanmeldung), or on the website of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (www.bafa.de) under the heading ’Wirtschaftsförderung’. The deadline for applications is 1 November 2014.
