    Gas analyser

State-of-the art TOC analyser and FTIR spectrometer on show at CEM ‘23

AVL Analytical Technologies GmbH is a leader in the development and production of gas analysers as well as measuring and automation systems for gas emission applications. Based on their know-how and core competences, AVL Analytical Technologies GmbH now also offers gas analysers and calibration devices for the process and environmental industry.

Exhibiting at the CEM in Barcelona on stand N°20, AVL Analytical Technologies will be demonstrating their portable analyser for TOC (total organic carbon) measurements, their multi-component FTIR spectrometer as well as their gas divider for analyser verifications.

The portable PA-FID C50 analyser features a robust housing and shock protection for most demanding outdoor operations. Thanks to the very compact design with a weight of less than 20 kg the AVL PA-FID C50 is easy to transport. It requires just H2 as fuel gas for operation and thanks to its very low gas consumption, the device can be operated for more than 80 hours with only one 1-liter H2 gas bottle.

The comfortable user interface offers local operation via touch display or from any device via web interface. It is equipped with day/night mode switching for better visibility and a one click-recording function among other features. In addition, the analyser comes with a Modbus interface for external device automation.

The portable analyser is used for stack gas measurements to verify permanently installed analysers of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and for QAL 1 certification measurements.

The AVL PA-FTIR simultaneously measures CO2, CO, CH4, NO, NO2, NOx, NH3, N2O, HCHO and many more gases. The system does not require any supply gases, which makes it ideal for mobile measurements. The simplicity of the system makes it easy to transport and install. This device provides accurate and highly dynamic measurements of multiple exhaust gas components within a wide range of ambient conditions. It comes with a long-term gas calibration of the FTIR spectrometer with verified accuracy. The PA-FTIR has a small footprint and is very lightweight (18 kg) and does not require operating gases or liquid nitrogen during operation.

The AVL PA-FTIR is used for multi-component measurements of stack gases in the process industry as well as for measurements on internal combustion engines.

The AVL Gas Divider Unit (GDU) iCAL GDU SL is a precision tool that provides accurate calibrations for any type of gas. It is designed for long-term stability, superb accuracy, and easy operation. The AVL iCAL GDU SL is available with 15, 63, 255 or 1023 dilution steps plus zero step. The AVL Gas Divider allows for fully automated linearization of gas analysers.
