Enviro Technology Strengthens Team with Two Key New Appointments
Sep 12 2011
Stroud-based Enviro Technology (UK) supplier and exporter of air quality monitoring systems has strengthened its team with the appointment of Robert Cook as Customer Support Engineer and Ben Underwood as trainee technician.
Based out of the company’s Kingfisher Business Park, London Road premises, Robert Cook will be responsible for providing customer support across the UK and abroad, working mainly on the continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) side of the business which measures industrial emissions and air pollution levels.
With over 15 years’ experience as Senior Analytical and Instrument Engineer with Severn Trent Water, Robert will be involved in installing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining and repairing air quality monitoring systems and analysers at customer sites. There will also be a strong training element to his role, advising key customers in the use of specialist equipment and software and supervising the work of trainees and apprentices.
As Trainee Technician, Ben Underwood will, under supervision, be responsible for repairing, servicing, testing and calibrating air quality monitoring systems and analysers in-house and at customers’ sites as and when required.
Committed to advancing his technical career, Ben has completed Level 2 in Health & Safety City and Guilds 2330 and is currently working towards Level 2 Electrical Installation 2330.
These two new key appointments follow close on the heels of the news that Enviro Technology recently secured a ‘personal best’ achieving the biggest sales in its 28 year history with orders totaling over £2.7m in quarter2 of this year – a 50% year on year increase on 2010 (year-to-date)
The business has triumphed in recent years despite challenging economic conditions and the recent sweeping public sector cutbacks which has seen local authority contracts reduce and the company shift its focus to expanding industrial sector contracts and export activities.
