Water/Wastewater
e-Learning session to focus on how to optimise wastewater treatment and meet effluent regulations
Jan 30 2019
The quality of wastewater generated from industrial operations and municipalities is highly regulated and closely monitored. Traditional “oxygen demand” methods of determining wastewater quality can be time-consuming, costly, and less accurate. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis offers a highly sensitive, non-specific measurement of organics present in a sample. Plants monitoring for TOC are better equipped to adjust their processes, protect capital equipment and meet effluent regulations.
On 26th March SUEZ will host an e-Learning session which will highlight the benefits of TOC monitoring and its application in a wastewater treatment process. They will also discuss the differences between TOC, BOD, COD and how to support discharge compliance with BOD and COD correlations, the differences in TOC technologies, European regulation updates and waste water discharge in the chemical sector
Jens Neubauer, EMEA Product Application Specialist at Suez will be the speaker. Jens is the EMEA Product Application Specialist for the Sievers brand of TOC analysers by SUEZ-Water Technologies & Solutions. He is responsible for the development and deployment of organics monitoring solutions for industrial and environmental markets in Europe.
