Updated materials extend landfill liquid pump’s service life and expand its applications
Jun 16 2023
QED Environmental Systems’ upgraded AutoPump® Ultra 4+ Aggressive Fluid Duty landfill liquid pump features upgraded materials that extend its service life and expand its applications to a wider set of conditions, providing enhanced performance and durability in challenging environments.
The AutoPump® Ultra 4+ Aggressive Fluids pump boasts 316-grade stainless steel parts, significantly improving its corrosion resistance. In addition, the pump's non-metallic internal components are now made of polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), a high-grade engineered plastic known for its strength at elevated temperatures and broad chemical resistance. These material upgrades ensure the pump can withstand acidic and oxidising cleaning agents that are sometimes used for pump maintenance, extending its service life and reliability.
The patented design of the AutoPump® Ultra 4+ Aggressive Fluids pump enables it to provide exceptional chemical resistance in a wide range of challenging scenarios. This includes hydrocarbon (LNAPL and dissolved phase) remediation, landfill leachate and methane condensate pumping, solvent (dissolved phase and DNAPL) clean-up, suspended solids, silts and corrosives, high viscosities, high temperatures, and frequent starts and stops. The pump is engineered to deliver reliable and safe performance even in the most demanding conditions, making it ideal for various applications.
The AutoPump® Ultra 4+ Aggressive Fluids pump is available in both 4-inch bottom inlet and 4-inch top inlet configurations, and is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 180° Fahrenheit. It has a maximum fluid viscosity of 1,000 cSt, a maximum depth of 250 ft, and a flow range of 6-14 gpm. This rugged and resilient pump is suitable for a diverse range of applications, including landfills, mining, DOD and DOE sites, remediation sites, and oil and gas operations.
