Precise, reliable and easy-to-use gas leak detection for firefighters

Teledyne Gas and Flame Detection have introduced their improved GT-Fire, a highly inventive, hand-held instrument designed for the firefighting sector to enable operators to isolate gas leaks faster and easierthan ever before.

Once a site has been evacuated, firefighters can use the GT-Fire to perform more targeted and specific leak detection measurements whilst awaiting the arrival of gas utility personnel. This enables the fire department to secure the location effectively and with confidence.

The GT-Fire’s heightened sensitivity and flexible probe gives firefighters enhanced capabilities within a single instrument; they can now react fasterbecause they have a clearer picture of the situation. The instrument’s largebacklit display gives users important and accurate data, giving them theconfidence and assurance to make important decisions at the scene.

This device can read both flammable (PPM and LEL) gases, oxygen, carbonmonoxide and hydrogen sulphide can be added if necessary. The GT-Fire’s ergonomic design enables leak detection in the most difficult locations and emits both visual and audible alerts during operation. Once the operation is complete, firefighters can quickly and easily generate reports with simple access to theinstrument’s data. Teledyne have released a video so you can se for yourself the ease and accuracy this instrument provides
