Leak Detection
Refrigerant leakage detection system officially recognised by UL Solutions
Nov 07 2024
Sensirion’s SGD43S-M3-Sx refrigerant leakage detection system has achieved UL Solutions recognition (UL60355-2-40), establishing it as a reliable option for detecting refrigerant leaks in HVACR systems.
Using thermal conductivity measurement, it avoids contamination issues often associated with optical and chemical sensors, thereby maintaining stability over time. Featuring a dual dry-contact relay output, the system can activate relays for blowers, load shutdowns, or control board alerts, complemented by an LED for real-time status feedback.
The SGD43S-M3-S5 version monitors R-454B and R-32 refrigerants, while the SGD43S-M3-S7 version supports R-454A, R-454C, and R-455A, delivering dependable operation for over 15 years. Sensirion’s UL-recognised RDS components help organisations to conform with industry standards for low Global Warming Potential refrigerants, therefore facilitating environmental compliance and speeding up product development and helping manufacturers to achieve commercial viability.
