Casella (UK), a global specialist in innovative occupational hygiene and environmental risk measurement solutions, exhibited its extensive range of noise and dust monitoring solutions at Health and Safety North on 8-9 October 2014 in Bolton.
Experts were on hand at the event to discuss the individual requirements of attendees, whilst showcasing the wide range of dust and noise monitoring solutions that Casella offer, including the Microdust Pro and dBadge. Microdust Pro is an easy to use, hand-held, data logging instrument that enables real-time detection of airborne dusts, fumes and aerosols within the workplace, whilst the dBadge is the perfect solution for conducting personal noise assessments. Handheld sound level meters and personal air sampling pumps, sampling heads and consumables were also showcased.
Shaun Knott, Business Development Manager at Casella, presented a talk that introduced delegates to the importance of noise monitoring to improve health and safety in the workplace. Shaun explained how exposure to excessive noise is a major occupational hazard, potentially leading to hearing loss, and can have a detrimental effect on work environments. He also discussed how introducing appropriate routine noise monitoring to the workplace can reduce health and safety risks and prevent hearing loss. Delegates had the opportunity to ask Shaun questions whilst he was sitting on an expert panel at the event.
