New Gas Sensors Eliminate Cross-Sensitivity to Acid Gases

MEMBRAPOR (Switzerland) is continuously upgrading and advancing its product line. One of the latest additions are PH3 and SiH4 gas sensors with filters that enhance the specificity and eliminate the cross-sensitivity towards other acid gases such as H2S, SO2 and NO2. Also, a hydrogen compensated CO sensor for very high concentrations was introduced recently. The new CO/SF-10000-4E-S is based on the well established 4 electrode setup that allows the measurement of CO from 0 till 1% with H2 concentrations in the same magnitude. The signal compensation of the interfering hydrogen enables accurate monitoring of carbon monoxide in flue gas cleaning systems.

While launching new types of sensors MEMBRAPOR is always driven to improve continuously the well-established ones, especially regarding long-term stability and reliability. Latest developments could be achieved in various application fields with different approaches: The highly sensitive NO2, O3 and SO2 sensors are equipped with an improved mechanical protection, underlining one of MEMBRAPOR'S focus on ambient air monitoring. Further, enhanced electrodes could improve the long-term performance of H2S sensors in compact houses and H2 sensors for high concentrations.

The sensor housing of the miniature-size (4-series) was redesigned. The results of the performed stress tests have exceeded the expectations. The new high-tech housing is a result of our ongoing research activities.

MEMBRAPOR'S product range includes now 270 sensors for 21 gases covering various measurement ranges.
