SENSOR + TEST to provide hands-on experience of the latest sensor technology, including a new calibration area  - IET readers can register for free!

The upcoming SENSOR + TEST trade exhibition will open on June 11th at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. This year’s event will have the motto “Welcome to the Innovation Dialogue!” and will include three days of hands-on demonstrations of the latest technical innovations as well as giving visitors the opportunity to meet nearly 400 exhibitors displaying their sensor technology.

This year’s SENSOR +TEST sees the introduction of the Calibration Area in Hall 2. Visitors will be able to learn about sensor calibration from some of the industry’s leading experts. The main topics covered will be digital concepts and calibration challenges under the slogan ‘Innovative Calibration’. This part of the exhibition, in conjunction with the SENSOR + TEST Technology Forum, will enable dialogue between end-users, calibration service providers and sensor manufacturers to facilitate a greater understanding of the demands and challenges faced by all parties present. Each morning the Technology Forum will feature best-practice presentations from exhibitors covering a wide array of applications, with the afternoons dedicated to further technical discussion.

On June 11th and 13th a ‘Job Lounge’ will offer job seekers and prospective employers to discuss exciting career opportunities. In addition, several reputable universities and research institutes will be organising excursions to the event, so students will have the opportunity to meet with experienced sensor and measurement experts. A daily schedule of lectures from exhibitors will take place in Hall 1, these will be broadcasted live, with recordings available online after the exhibition ends.

The 22. GMA/ITG-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme (conference on sensors and measuring systems), will take place on 11 and 12 June, hosted by the Informationstechnische Gesellschaft (Information Technology Society) im VDE (ITG) in conjunction with the VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik or Society for Measurement and Automation Technology (GMA), will examine the latest trends in sensor and measurement technology.

The ETTC 2024 European Test and Telemetry Conference, also taking place on June 11-13 in Nuremberg Exhibition Centre’s Hall 2 is a key international meeting for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation and data processing technology. Visitors will learn about the crucial part that telemetry technologies play for a host of applications and industries as well as contemporary industrial developments such as IoT, big data, wireless or drones.

Over recent years the SENSOR + TEST Exhibition has seen a significant increase in international participation. This year’s event is no exception with a host of different nations represented among the record number of foreign exhibitors. Catering for the wider international audience has provided the exhibition’s team with a exciting challenge.  Elena Schultz, Managing Director of AMA (the organisers of SENSOR + TEST) commented “The SENSOR+TEST 2024 in Nuremberg accepts this challenge and focuses on an even stronger integration of international players in order to meet the needs of a globally active industry,”

Although face-to-face meetings are the foundation of this event, the additional digital coverage of forum presentations and Digital Agenda is still included for those who cannot attend SENSOR + TEST in person. “Far more important, however, is the provision of the entire information platform with all company contacts, solutions, innovations and presentations beyond the trade fair. Thousands of users are constantly researching suitable providers and finding out about their offers,” added Elena Schultz.

The SENSOR+TEST 2024 will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 11th  13th : visitors need to register online in advance as there will be no tickets available at the venue in Nuremberg. All exhibitors offer voucher codes for registering free tickets, readers of International Environmental Technology can register for free here.
