Alicat’s FP-25BT is a Bluetooth-equipped, all-weather flow standard for the audit and calibration of particulate matter (PM) air samplers and black carbon air samplers. Ambient air monitoring technicians will benefit from the FP-25BT’s accuracy in adverse weather conditions at temperatures as low as -30°C and as high as +60°C, even at 100% relative humidity. This accuracy is maintained across a very wide turndown (0.1 lpm to 25 lpm), making the instrument equally adept at calibrating black carbon samplers and low-flow ambient air analysers.

Numerous air monitoring agencies contributed feedback during the development of the FP-25BT, resulting in a flow calibrator that is exceptionally easy to use. Temperature equilibration is very fast, even in direct sunlight. Ambient flow, pressure and temperature readings are measured in real time (1000 times per second) and can also be averaged over a user-defined period to even out oscillations in pumps and underperforming flow controllers. The external Bluetooth antenna and companion Android software minimise climbs to the rooftop to check the flow readings during audits of climate-controlled analysers like BAMs and TEOMs.
