Digital Multi-Parameter Sondes for Spot Measurements Down to 100m
Mar 17 2014
With the new multi-parameter sondes MPP 910 IDS and MPP 930 IDS, from WTW Xylem (Germany), the common standard parameter pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity and temperature can be determined down to depths of maximum 100m.
The MPP 910 IDS has one socket, the MPP 930 IDS three sockets for the new IDS sensors with plug heads. The smart plug head system allows the most convenient and easy change of cables and sensors. The thin heavy-duty cables are aramid reinforced and very easy to handle.
Both sondes have the same pressure sensor for depth measurement. The depth measurement is corrected for the level of the sensor tips. It is also corrected for barometric pressure and in case of an engaged salinity function automatically compensates the density of sea water as well.
A special cable reel with sliding contacts (for cables up to 100m) allows a convenient and continuous measurement when winding the sensor up or down.
Both sondes work exclusively with WTW’s Multi 3430 handheld multi-parameter instrument.
Applications for these new sondes are spot depth profile measurements at barrages, lakes, reservoirs, ground water and bore hole measurements.
