Expanded range of inert LC columns enhance the sensitivity of metal-sensitive compounds
Oct 03 2024
Restek has recently extended its inert LC column range to include Raptor C18 and Force C18 columns. Inert columns are ideal for analysing metal-sensitive columns. They improve analyte response and sensitivity by lowering the nonspecific binding of chelating compounds. When combined with Restek’s selective stationary phases, the new columns are the perfect solution for analysing metal-sensitive compounds, including mycotoxins and pesticides.
These inert LC columns can enhance peak shape without passivation or mobile phase additives. They also provide increased response and analyte recovery, to enable lower detection limits. The inert columns will give users high levels of precision and throughput with less variability, less protracted conditioning, and complex passivation.
Restek’s inert LC column technology comes in a variety of column types, with more phases to be introduced shortly, to handle a broad range of applications and testing methodologies: Force Biphenyl, Force C18 Raptor ARC-18, Raptor Biphenyl, and Raptor C18. The new columns deliver the multiple benefits of inert technology to laboratories specialised in small molecule LC-MS/MS workflows.
