The BluVision™ Discrete Wet Chemistry Analyzer
Apr 21 2010
Skalar is continuously developing new automated systems for Wet Chemistry applications. Skalar’s most recent development is the BluVision™ discrete analyzer for determination of basic colorimetric parameters. Based on our well proven XYZ robotic platforms, the BluVision™ has been developed with the environmental and industrial user in mind to cope with the wide variety
of sample types.
The BluVision™ discrete analyzer is designed as an easy-to-use and low maintenance unit for daily routine operation. Typical application areas for this new analyzer are drinking water, waste water, ground water, surface water and seawater analyses. Up to 22 different photometric analyses can be performed on the BluVision™ discrete analyzer. 14 different LED’s can be used for wavelength selection, this avoids mechanical filter wheels so minimising wear and tear. 15 mm optical path length cuvettes are used and in one run 760 analyses from 200 samples can
be determined.
For turbid or coloured samples a background correction can be applied. With state-of the art software, the system is able to prepare its own calibration curves from standards located in 50 special positions which can also hold QC’s. An extra 10 positions are available for priority samples. In addition there are 36 available positions for reagents. The DiscreteAcess™ software can be setup batch wise or random access. Extensive QC protocols are available such as CLP and 21CFR part 11, which includes password protection and audit trial on results.
