Concentration Measurement, Phase Detection and Reaction Monitoring with LiquiSonic
Apr 27 2012
The company SensoTech (Germany) provides with LiquiSonic a measuring and analytical system that measures the concentration in any type of liquid. Typical applications are the precise concentration determination of material mixtures, the phase detection, the neutralisation or reaction monitoring, such as polymerisations and crystallisations. Using the LiquiSonic system, quality and process safety are guaranteed as well as increased yield and saving in resources by reducing the consumption of raw material and energy at the same time. The concentration determination is based on the sonic velocity measurement that enables a high measuring accuracy and provides updated measuring data within seconds.
LiquiSonic consists of one controller and one or several sensors. The sensors are installed directly in the process, working maintenance-free and are usually manufactured in stainless steel. For using the sensors in chemically aggressive liquids there are special materials available. SensoTech is also flexible in providing different installation lengths, process fittings and electronic housings. The completely enclosed design, that requires neither gaskets nor moving parts or “windows” to the process, makes the sensors especially robust. In hazardous areas, SensoTech is able to provide a certification for ATEX and IECEx. The controller manages and visualises the reproducible measuring data. With connection to control systems, it is possible to regulate the process automatically.
SensoTech will be at ACHEMA 2012, in hall 11.1, booth F75.
