Process analyzer dedicated to Ortho- and Total phosphate phosphorus analysis (DIN EN ISO 6878:2004-09)

Metrohm Process Analytics presents the 2035 Process Analyzer, an integrated solution for 24/7 online-monitoring of critical chemical parameters such as ortho- and total phosphate phosphorus in wastewater streams. Three fixed ranges are available for Low, Standard, and High TP situations.

Phosphorus measurement according to DIN EN ISO 6878:2004-09

Phosphorus removal is essential in wastewater treatment plants to ensure the environment is not harmed by discharged effluent. In the treatment facility it is important to know the o-PO4-P concentration in the influent stream to accurately determine the amount of reagents needed for chemical treatment. For regulation compliance purposes, treated effluent is monitored for TP—the sum of all insoluble and dissolved phosphates present. The 2035 Process Analyzer utilizes a compact digestion cuvette photometer module to monitor both o-PO4-P and TP online according to DIN EN ISO 6878:2004-09. The analyzer is configured to digest and oxidize wastewater samples in order to free orthophosphates from organics, and further reagents are added after the digestion step. Phosphomolybdic acid is formed, then reduced which enables a colorimetric determination of the intensely blue-colored complex.

Various monitoring ranges for the whole facility

The 2035 Process Analyzer can measure phosphorus concentrations online via colorimetric detection in three ranges: Low TP: 0–150 μg/L PO4-P, Standard TP: 0–5 mg/L PO4-P, or High TP: 0–100 mg/L PO4-P. From seriously polluted waste streams to the analysis of effluent after chemical treatment, the 2035 is ready to tackle the challenge. This analysis can also be combined with additional measuring techniques such as pH and/or conductivity measurement, offering a more complete snapshot of your treatment process.

Robust design (IP66)

Strict separation of wet part and electronics ensures safe operation in harsh environments. The electronics part is housed within non-corrosive epoxy-coated stainless steel.

Virtually unlimited sample conditioning options

Metrohm Process Analytics provides virtually any sample pre-conditioning system, such as cooling or heating, pressure reduction, degassing, filtration, and more. The new system is entirely modular by design enabling custom configurations for monitoring single or multiple process streams.

Sophisticated data communication

Ethernet TCP/IP Network communication and remote operation, web services, MODBUS, analog outputs, digital outputs to transmit results, and alarm status signals. Result export to USB.
