Online TOC Measuring Technique for Most Difficult Waters
Apr 01 2013
The LAR (Germany) online TOC measurement system QuickTOCultra reliably determines organic contamination in most difficult waters. The innovative process control does not require any sample dilution and goes without catalysts and filtration. The raw sewage sample, including particles, is directly injected into the reactor via the injection system. By using the patented oxidation method at 1,200°C, all organic substances are fully oxidised. Subsequently, the CO2 content is detected. At this temperature, salts are melted, blown out of the reactor and collected in a unique construction. The measurement system is equipped with a special high salt option for a sodium chloride content (NaCl) of up to 30%. Thus, clogging, broken reactors and long downtimes are matters of the past.
The QuickTOCultra convinces with a quick response time and stands out due to its very low maintenance and operating costs, as well as a high availability of more than 98%. The weekly servicing is limited to few minutes. The software is intuitive and can be controlled via touchscreen.
Offering the option of measuring 6 streams, this custom-tailored measurement system is ideally suited for the surveillance and optimisation of industrial processes. Moreover, it is equally well suited for its application in industrial and communal waste water treatment plants.
