TOC, TN, TP and COD in one analyser
Apr 13 2017
The QuickTOCNPO of LAR Process Analysers, Germany, is an online analyser for the determination of the most important water quality parameters for discharge control and surface water monitoring: Total organic carbon (TOC), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP). The heart of the analyser is the oven, where the thermal oxidation takes place. It works with the ultra high temperature combustion at 1,200°C, guaranteeing the complete oxidation of all organic compounds to carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen monoxide (NO).
Downstream of the oven, the produced CO2 and NO will be measured by a NDIR detector and an electrochemical detector (ECD) resulting in the exact determination of TOC and TNb. The COD is correlated to the TOC content. The TP is determined with the photometric molybdenum blue method. All parameters are determined according to internationally standardized procedures. Since the parameters can be combined in any combination, LAR's QuickTOCNPO offers highest flexibility. The parameters' combination in one unit reduces the investment costs, support and maintenance efforts and enables an efficient monitoring of waste water treatment plants effluent.
