MCERTS Works for Aquamatic's Wastewater Samplers

Feb 19 2008

Aquamatic, the first UK company to gain MCERTS for its entire range of
wastewater samplers, has reported that the certification for continuous
water monitoring equipment (CWMS) is proving an invaluable tool in the
launch of its new S300 Stationary Wastewater Sampler Series.
During a recent visit made to the Manchester company by the Environment Agency’s Paul Wiggins (representative from the EA’s Monitoring and Assessment team), commented: “It is very heartening to see the benefits that are being gained by a company who as the first wastewater
sampler manufacturer to gain MCERTS for its entire range, has led the way in achieving this very high standard of certification”.
Jeremy Smith, Aquamatic’s managing director, added: “In a short space of time, MCERTS has grown to become a key factor in purchasing decisions. We can see first-hand how our investment in this comprehensive certification gives confidence to industry that our wastewater samplers meet stringent performance criteria set out in
current international standards and the growing requirements of EC Directives”.
Aquamatic’s new MCERTS-approved, S300 Wastewater Sampler Series is capable of housing a wide range of single and multiple container configurations in its large, fully insulated, refrigerated lower compartment. It is also designed with room for mounting additional effluent monitoring equipment.
Before its MCERTS accomplishment, Aquamatic also became the UK's first
wastewater sampler manufacturer to gain E-32 compliance. It followed this by becoming the very first wastewater sampler manufacturer to receive a coveted Environment Agency Monitoring Certification Scheme MCERTS from SIRA Certification Service (SCS).
Based on ISO and EN standards for monitoring and equipment testing,
inspection, product certification and personnel competency, MCERTS effectively replaced the E-32 benchmark.
