Industrial Scientific recently introduced a new photo-ionisation detector (PID) sensor for their highly successful Ventis® Pro5 Multi-Gas Monitor Ventis is now the most compact, versatile, and connected five-gas personal monitor that can reliably detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) available for industrial safety management.
Whether users are focused on confined space entries or improving their emergency response efforts, the Ventis Pro5 with PID sensor enables the end-user to detect VOCs with their personal monitor; this reduces the necessity to carry cumbersome handheld monitors other instruments.
The Ventis Pro5 offers peer-to-peer, satellite, wi-fi, and cellular connectivity while improving situational awareness and decreasing emergency response times by sharing real-time location data, man-down alarms, and gas alerts - including VOC exposure, so safety teams know immediately what has happened, where it happened and who needs help.
Parker Burke, President of Industrial Scientific Corporation commented, “This new sensor option for the Ventis Pro5 gives customers an opportunity to reliably detect standard gases and volatile organic compounds, in one compact solution without adding a second, bulky device. The Ventis Pro5 with PID sensor increases safety of employees by equipping everyone with the ability to detect VOCs while reducing fleet sizes and maintenance pains.”
