Cutting-edge CEMS technology overcomes the rigours of operation in some of Asia’s most demanding industrial environments

Prima Equipment’s Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)/AMS is widely used for emission monitoring and process analysis of coal-fired power stations, waste incineration plants, and applications in other demanding industrial sectors, such as cement, glass, and ceramics.

Prima’s PSGM-1-D-AGS Model reliably and precisely monitors gases, including SO2, NO2, NO, CO, and O2, as well as parameters such as dust, humidity, temperature, pressure, and flow. It is ubiquitous to all kinds of component continuous monitoring tasks, such as boilers, industrial furnaces and incinerator emissions.

This versatile instrument also monitors gases discharged through process vents, such as HCI, HF, CO2, CO, NH3, H2S, CI2, and VOCs. It is suitable for safe and flame-proof Zones-1/2.

Prima is the first Indian company to have complete intellectual property rights for flue gas monitoring. Its independently researched and developed technology includes the flue gas analyser, the temperature, pressure flow, gas sampling and conditioning system, the pre-treatment system and monitoring software. Prima proudly boasts of being India’s only CEMS developer with performance tested to EN 14181, EN 15267-3 (QAL-1) standards by an accredited ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory.

In addition, Prima provides multiple technology solutions to suit the specific criteria of its customers; it has successfully installed over 1,450 CEMS. With highly advanced features, including two stages of condensation to remove water and cool down rapidly and enhanced reliability thanks to multiple stages of water and dust removal, indigenous researched and developed core devices and algorithms, advanced electronics and microcontroller-based programmable logic, controlled two-stage filtration, automatic probe cleaning, automated drain and auto gas conditioning and an Adaptive Geostatistical Covariate Sampling Design (AGCSD) sampling device with a high-temperature probe have made Prima’s technology highly sought after.

Prima has also added a few more features, such as manual, automatic, and remote calibration facilities, a stack gas sampling probe for customised flue gas applications, a Human Machine Interface (HMI), a graphical multicolour TFT touch, and a screen display on the panel to facilitate easy calibration, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic Information to enhance ease of operation.

The system has been designed and developed in-house to withstand the dust, temperature, and humid conditions of India and other Asian countries. Each Prima product passes through multiple stages to ensure regulatory compliance and avoid atmospheric effects in harsh atmospheres.
