New UL Approved Carbon Monoxide Reduces Development Time
Mar 27 2016
DD Scientific is pleased to announce that the S+4 2ECO carbon monoxide sensor has successfully achieved Underwriters Laboratories (UL) performance certification UL2075.
If you plan to sell a residential or commercial carbon monoxide detector on the open market, it is vitally important that the detector is approved to a relevant performance standard such as UL2034 in North America or EN50291 in Europe. Unfortunately, the time taken to have a device approved to these standards can be lengthy and add months to any development cycle. The speed of development can however be increased by the use of a gas sensing component which has already been pre-approved to a relevant component certification.
The S+4 2ECO carbon monoxide sensor is now recognised as a component approved to UL2075. As such, its performance across a range of characteristics including long term drift testing has been assessed and found to meet all requirements.
If you wish to develop a residential carbon monoxide detector or add a carbon monoxide sensing capability to an existing fire detector, the S+4 2ECO is the ideal choice for high performance and cost effective gas sensing. The sensor is available as an approved component both as a 2- electrode and 3-electrode device for enhanced temperature performance.
