Air monitoring
Durable Heated Single or Multi-gas Analyser
Aug 17 2010
The increased awareness of the dangers of Ammonia spills, considered a major health hazard because it poses a significant threat to humans whether from skin contact, inhalation, risk of fire or explosion. Therefore, real-time instruments are necessary to perform continuous and accurate monitoring of ammonia for a better understanding of stack emissions and regulatory compliance.
Environnement SA’s (France) MIR 9000H heated infrared analyser is a system designed to determine, among other compounds, the ammonia content of air in industrial applications. Using a sampling line and a gas chamber heated to 180°C, it allows precise measurement of NH3 and H2O in less than 40 milliseconds. This strong and robust analyser, which is housed in a stainless steel IP66 enclosure for withstanding the harshest environments, can be used for applications such NH3 monitoring on DeNOx process (upstream and downstream), NH3 leaks in ammonia refrigeration facilities, fertiliser plants, resin production using urea, explosives/munitions plants, nylon production, semiconductor production, water and wastewater facilities to name just a few!
The system is equipped with a USB port and a powerful Ethernet communication (RJ45) for remote control capabilities such as maintenance, up-dates and data recovery. This analyser can also interface directly with a computer to clearly view process data in varying formats.
