Air Monitoring
New Ground for Trace Analysis
Feb 19 2008
range of products that can influence environmental policy-making on
greenhouse gas emissions.
Manufactured by US company Picarro, the new range of trace gas
analysers are capable of measuring multiple gas species with a single
analyser, providing highly accurate results. The products use CRDS
(Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy) technology, a laser based, optical
technique thatâs highly sensitive and highly reliable. The units can be set up straight from the box in under an hour, require little or no sample preparation, negligible calibration and are capable of running
unattended over the long-term. Applications include semi conductor processing, medical research, petrochemical companies and automotive industries, as well as atmospheric monitoring of greenhouse gases, NH3, CO2 and inversion measuring.
ET operations director, Duncan Mounsor explains, âthese Picarro devices are highly sensitive, selective and extremely accurate.
Their low detectable limits combined with the ability to measure multiple species delivers real benefits to our customers.â
ET is a world-leading supplier of Air Quality, Emission and Environmental Monitoring analysers, systems, software and networks.
