NEW: Sample gas cooler TC-MINI with digital interface

In the process industry and in the monitoring of environmental parameters, a robust and reliable communication between the field devices (e.g. sensors and analysers) and the control system is necessary to ensure safe and continuous plant operation. Up to now, the TC-MINI sample gas cooler from Buehler Technologies has been equipped with the internationally recognised standard of analog communication, the 4-20 mA protocol, in addition to the potential-free status output.

Digitalisation in the industrial environment continues to progress rapidly, which is why Buehler Technologies will offer the TC-MINI sample gas cooler with the more advanced Modbus RTU communication protocol as an option. The connection is made physically via an RS485 (2-wire) interface. The process controller can access process and diagnostic data as well as configure settings in the device configuration via the Modbus RTU communication protocol. Another new feature is the access to the controller utilisation as well as the output of the operating hours.

The TC-MINI sample gas cooler is also particularly well suited for installation in portable or compact gas conditioning systems due to its small dimensions. Despite its small design, it has a high nominal power and is therefore also suitable for use in warm climates.

Digital communication and functions:

  1. - Direct access to process and diagnostic data
  2. - Parameterization during operation
  3. - Current cooling block temperature can be read out
  4. - Menu settings can be configured remotely (e.g. cooling block setpoint, de-/activation of gas pumps)
  5. - NEW: Output of controller utilisation (in %) for evaluation of cooler performance
  6. - NEW: Output of operating hours for realisation of maintenance intervals

The option "Digital output Modbus RTU" is now available for the sample gas coolers TC-MINI with a surcharge to the device of only 35,00 €. The ordering information and other useful information can be found on the product page and in the data sheet.
