Intelligent Water Supply System for Constant Pressure Applications Launched
Sep 08 2016
As consumers continue to strive for greater efficiency in the home, Xylem (UK) has launched ResiBoost, an intelligent variable frequency drive (VFD) that matches system demand to maximise pump efficiency and minimise general wear and tear.
ResiBoost, part of Xylem’s Lowara brand, is suitable for a wide range of residential applications and is a plug-and-play device designed for easy installation and use. Users simply connect the VFD to water and electricity and set the desired pressure.
Lowara ResiBoost automatically controls the speed of the pump while keeping the pressure in the system constant, reducing energy consumption and preventing rapid changes of pressure from damaging pipes, junctions and valves, in order to extend the system’s life. The controlled speed also reduces noise and mechanical stress on the pump.
The ResiBoost is available in pipe and wall mounted versions or, as a ready built package for flexibility and ease of installation. The pipe and wall mounted versions have built-in dry run protection, a control and information panel featuring an LCD screen and are able to store information on operated hours, number of starts, connections to the power supply and register of alarms.
From submersible to surface pumps, the Resiboost VFD is an ideal, cost effective solution for controlling a variety of highly efficient Lowara pumps and is available in pre-assembled packages consisting of a premium efficiency Lowara pump and a ResiBoost drive for quick and easy installation.
Mark Trevaskis, Sales Support Manager at Xylem comments: “Reliability and efficiency have been central to the design of the ResiBoost. Top quality components and a constant pressure ensure that the system offers maximum comfort, significant energy savings, and a smooth, trouble-free operation for its users.”
