Water/Wastewater
Convenient and Available Anytime via Internet
Jul 25 2016
More and more, the control of wastewater treatment plants from a remote location is required. Especially, when plants are unmanned and supervised by a central organisation. High efforts in time and costs, which have to be applied to look after the plants on a regular basis, are very challenging. Particularly, in the case of an alarm, someone might have to visit the plant immediately to solve the issue. Further, this is also relevant for plants, which are indeed manned, but causing an alarm at the weekend.
WTW's (Germany) integrated web browser function – called IQ Web Connect – provides full control of your IQ Sensor Net from remote location. By this, you have access to your system anytime and at any place. The IQ Web Connect enables to read, set and save data. This works independent from your device and operational system. The only requirements are an internet access and a web browser.
This feature is provided with the new controller system 282/284 of the IQ Sensor Net. By installing a version with an Ethernet interface (RJ 45), you are able to monitor and set parameters like O2, NH4 or COD. Besides this, the controller provides an USB interface, an integrated data logger and a huge variety of fieldbus protocols like PROFINET.
