New Liquid Level Sensor Launched
Mar 01 2011
Stevens Water (USA) marks the Centennial anniversary of its founding in 1911 and is pleased to begin the year by introducing the all-new Stevens SDX, a low-cost yet robust liquid level sensor that is ideal for most applications and well-suited for harsh environments that put more expensive sensors at risk of damage or loss. The SDX features fully-potted electronics inside of a tough housing made from PVC Type-II plastic.
The newly updated SDX replaces the popular original model introduced by Stevens in 2006, and has several updates designed to improve the customer experience when installing and using the sensor.
Each sensor is now equipped with a removable anti-fouling copper nose cone, which helps ensure that the sensor remains in a vertical position and free of biological fouling once lowered down a pipe or well.
Tank and pipe mounting has been enhanced by the new PVC Type II housing material that includes integrated threads in two locations: near the top of the sensor by the cable (1/2-14 straight pipe thread), and at the end under the removable copper nose cone (3/8-18 straight pipe thread). These allow the sensor to easily be installed into fittings with compatible threads.
