Deep water discrete interval samplers reach depths of up to 1200 metres

Solinst offer instrumentation that can measure representative water samples from pre-determined levels as low as 1,200 metres/4,000 feet. The 425 D deep sampling discrete interval sampler operates on the hydraulic principal, once the sample is at the required depth the sealed sampler is pressurised to enable the water to enter, the sampler is then sealed and vented before being returned to the surface. This ensures that only the sample from the chosen depth is taken making it an ideal instrument for taking measurements below floating product layers – or for sampling the actual product. The sampler is made of stainless steel and fixed to LDPE tubing, which is mounted on a user-friendly reel. Solinst also manufacture the Model 425 for monitoring in shallower
