New GPRS Transmission Unit with Integrated SIM Module for Energy and Water Counters
Oct 03 2014
The NivuLog Nano AMR, from Nivus GmbH (Germany), allows users to automatically detect counter readings for end billing. To ensure reliable data transmission, the integrated SIM module automatically logs in with the most powerful available GSM network. The manufacturer’s flat rates and cost-efficient data transmission packages allow quick and easy commissioning. Additionally, the operator’s administrative costs for according data transmission contracts are reduced. Saved counter readings are collected on a central web server and can be conveniently called up from anywhere in the world.
The plug&play data logger can be configured easily on the web server and by using a specifically developed smartphone app. For a quick and easy start-up the most common water counters are preconfigured per default. The transmitting unit permits to connect and to operate up to four counters in parallel. This significantly reduces investments on the operator’s behalf.
The NivuLog Nano AMR provides an extensive alarm rule library and hence ensures an individual use of the unit. The real time synchronisation guarantees accurate billing. Thanks to its IP68 enclosure the device is perfectly protected even under harsh ambient conditions. Due to the powerful battery the self-sufficient data logger provides a battery life of up to 5 years with daily data transmission.
