New Logger for Water Level/ Pressure and Temperature
Sep 23 2009
In-Situ Inc.(UK) announce the new Level TROLL 200 instrument with direct-read cable for monitoring and logging water level/pressure and temperature. The new absolute (non-vented) Level TROLL 200 instrument further expands In-Situ Inc.’s water level instrument offering. The Level TROLL 200 features corrosion resistance, flexible communications, low power consumption, and durable direct-read cable. For monitoring water levels and
collecting hydrologic event data, the instrument offers linear, fast linear, and event logging modes. Chemical- and corrosion-resistant ABS construction makes the instrument suitable for saltwater and other harsh environments. Flexible Modbus, RS485, or SDI-12 output enable connection to TROLL® Link telemetry systems, the RuggedReader® handheld PC, laptop, SCADA systems, or third-party data collection platforms.
“As the environmental monitoring industry seeks to reduce costs and maximise budgets, the new Level TROLL 200 instrument is designed for economical monitoring,” said Bob Blythe, CEO and President of In-Situ Inc. “With this addition to our Level TROLL line, we can cover our customers needs for any application, at any budget. For unattended field operation, the Level TROLL 200 offers low power consumption and durable construction, which extend deployments and significantly reduce maintenance and field visits.”
The TROLL® Com 200 is used to download data from instruments deployed on direct-read cable. A docking station is used to download data from instruments deployed on suspension wire. To simplify data collection and management, the Level TROLL® 200 uses In-Situ® Inc.’s intuitive user interface, Win-Situ® 5 software. Win-Situ 5 operates across the entire Level TROLL® platform and features setup wizards, fast data download rates, multiple water level reference options, and more.
The Level TROLL® 200 instrument is factory calibrated over the full pressure and temperature range (0° to 50° C) to ensure its specified accuracy. Many other loggers on the market are calibrated at only one or two points and meet stated accuracy only at those points. Each instrument includes a serialised calibration report.
To compensate for changes in water level due to barometric pressure fluctuations, the BaroTROLL® 100 instrument should be used. The BaroTROLL 100 measures and logs barometric pressure and temperature data and offers the same communication output options as the Level TROLL 200 instrument. Baro Merge™ software simplifies post-correction of data. The Level TROLL 200 instrument and TROLL Com 200 are now commercially available.
