Intelligent oil in water sensor
Jan 27 2020
The BlueTrace Oil in Water Sensor, from GO Systemelektronik GmbH, is a compact probe that works on basis of the fluorometric measurement principle and is capable of measuring BTEX, PAH and refined oils in water. With the capability to calibrate the sensor for the measurement of different fluorescent sources the typical measurement ranges fall between 0 - 30 up to 0 - 300 ppm. Suitable application areas include environmental monitoring such as surface waters and process monitoring for example for the detection of leakages.
The BlueTrace sensor features a digital Modbus RTU interface, this means that the sensor can not only be connected to a GO Systemelektronik controller, but can also be integrated into third-party controllers or PLCs. For this purpose, the necessary Modbus protocol is freely available. Settings and calibrations are stored directly on the sensor and can easily be adapted via a PC program.
With a housing made out of stainless-steel or titanium and the capability to withstand up to 6 bars the BlueTrace is perfectly suited for harsh environmental conditions. Installation options include the use as either as a submersible probe or the integration into a pipeline via one of the available flow assemblies.
