New Dissolved Oxygen Probe as Small and Compact as a pH Electrode
Jul 06 2012
The measuring principle of Gimat’s (Germany) new Visiwater optical oxygen probe is based on the luminescence which has been used successfully in sewage technology for many years. The oxygen electrode is in shape and size similar to a pH electrode. Installed in an IP 68-protective fitting, the probe can easily be removed from the basin for cleaning purposes, due to its extremely low weight of less than 500 grams. The Visiwater probe is extremely easy to maintain.
The complete solution of this measurement system consists of the Visiwater sensor as well as the Gicon 1000 controller in an IP-65 version for outdoor use. A further advantage of Gimat’s measurement system is that it is, next to oxygen suitable for the connection of another three probes such as NH4, suspended solids, COD and others.”
