Water/Wastewater
Reduce the Cost of Owning Gas Detection Systems
Sep 30 2010
Visit Draeger at stand 51 to find out how.
Traditional gas detection technologies used in the challenging environment of waste water treatment applications can be problematic. Low oxygen, wet environments, H2S poisoning and short sensor life means frequent maintenance and calibration.
Superior Draeger technology can eradicate these problems, half maintenance costs and improve reliability.
Draeger toxic gas and oxygen sensors are significantly larger than traditional sensors leading to extremely long life, 3 years in the case of our Oxygen sensor. This reduces replacements and the high accuracy of Draeger sensors extends calibration intervals to one year.
Our cost effective infrared flammable gas detector PIR3000 replaces traditional catalytic bead detectors that are prone to poisoning and high drift. Infrared is immune to H2S or low levels of oxygen, common problems in WWTP’s. The high accuracy inherent in infrared technology means that like our O2, or H2S sensors, calibration is only required annually, and with an expected life of over 15 years replacement parts are vastly reduced.
Draeger will also be running a workshop on SIL and functional safety in gas detection systems in the COGDEM workshop room at 12.00 on 10th November.
