Process Control Operations Moved to Next Level with new UK Headquarters

Exceptional growth for its products and systems across all process markets: food & beverage, pharmaceutical, medical, water treatment and chemical, has resulted in Bürkert (UK) moving to new and more fit-for-purpose headquarters in Cirencester, close to the strategic M4 technology corridor.

Bürkert’s previous UK headquarters’ were in Stroud, Gloucestershire, but this location was hard to access and had limited space for expansion, particularly of Bürkert’s highly successful systems business and training facilities. By contrast, the new Cirencester headquarters is more convenient, being easy to access by car and train. The location also boasts better production facilities and a more comprehensive training room. Last but not least, better parking facilities ensure that customers and attendees of Bürkert’s many process training courses will be able to park conveniently, adjacent to the new headquarters.

“We have been setting the pace in key sectors of process markets for some time now, and the move to a more flexible headquarters is the obvious result of this growth,” said Bürkert’s UK General Manager, Paul Trevitt. “Against a backdrop of general economic austerity, Bürkert UK is growing year on year in key process sectors such as water and waste treatment, food & beverage, medical and biomedical, and also chemical.”

“As well as improving communications, the move to a new headquarters will enable us to meet the increasing demand for our customer specific training courses, which are well oversubscribed, and also the specialist systems that we build in-house.

What has proven pivotal to our success in the systems is our unique ability to combine process and laboratory automation, valve elements, sensors, flowmeters, water treatment systems and networked communications into single source customised systems that deliver higher process efficiency and also higher yields with reduced wastage.

We have also struck a chord with our ability to provide specific process control training to industry. Recently we have provided courses on Steam and Hygienic Processing in the food & beverage and pharmaceutical industry, as well as mobile clinics that take our solutions-based approach to Hygienic Processing to much wider audiences. With our new facility we are able to expand these activities to meet the high levels of demand that we are experiencing.”
