Water treatment company taken over in £43 million deal
Mar 03 2011
A Runcorn-based water treatment firm has changed hands following a £43 million takeover agreement.
Electra Partners has acquired Sentinel Performance Solutions from private equity firm the Riverside Company.
Sentinel Performance Solutions specialises in making products to aid hot water treatment and also does work with residential heating systems.
Its primary markets are the UK, Germany, Italy and France, and it has also established links in the US.
Deputy managing partner of Electra Partners David Symondson said that the organisation was "delighted" to take on the business and highlighted the firms large potential for growth in the industry.
Sentinel chief executive Gary Roebuck was equally enthralled by the agreement and stated that the products the company develops are proven to save money and cut emissions.
"We see opportunity particularly in the other European markets and are actively seeking suitable acquisitions to help more quickly develop our position," he remarked.
For more than ten years, Sentinel has been winning awards for its developments and was named the Product Manufacturer of the Year at the 2009 Phoenix Natural Gas Industry Awards.
