First Edition of Aquatech India Sets the Standard

May 26 2010

The first edition of Aquatech India exceeded all expectations. The show was opened by the Minister of Water Resources of India, who stated that the gathering of international water industry professionals at Aquatech India plays a vital role in finding solutions for the countries water related challenges. Five months before the start of the show, the floor space was already sold out, which forced the organisers to provide extra space for exhibitors in a temporary structure outdoors. With 200 exhibitors filling 10,000 square metres of floor space, a high level conference, the Utility Leaders Forum and other seminars, Aquatech India immediately set the standard for water technology trade events in the region. The next edition of the show will take place in Mumbai from 2 – 4 March 2011.

Aquatech India attracted some 9,500 unique visitors, more than 250 conference delegates and 60 high level CEO’s of utility water boards. Next to that, international delegations from China and France came to see the show. A unique mix of municipal as well as industrial water professionals were present and learned about the latest innovations in their field of expertise. The majority of the visitors were from decision making units of their organisations resulting in valuable business conversations on the show floor.
