Aquaread Win Best Science and Technology Business of the Year

The night of Thursday 27th June 2013 was the KEiBA 2013 gala. Aquaread (UK) arrived at the stunningly decorated Kent Event Centre as finalists in two categories and came home as winners of the Best Science and/or Technology Business. They won the coveted award based on their continued innovation of specialist water testing equipment and business successes over the last three years.

The Kent Excellence in Business Awards are highly desired. This year there were a record 283 entries across the 14 categories, from these entries 43 finalists were chosen. Craig Harrison, MD of Aquaread said: "Winning another KEiBA award is a fantastic achievement. We won Start-up Business of the Year in 2011 and our managing director, Craig Harrison, won Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012. It’s brilliant to have another trophy to add to our collection in our Broadstairs headquarters, not just for staff morale but it acts as a seal of approval for our company."

The judges commended Aquaread's commitment to innovation, applauded their considerable reach into overseas markets and stated that it puts "Aquaread firmly on the map as a business which is making waves". Aquaread are launching a brand new LeveLine this year and continue to develop new specialist probes and parameters.

Managing Director of KM Group, Richard Elliot, said: “This is the fifth Kent Excellence in Business Awards and last night’s event raised the game, yet again, as far as awards schemes in this county are concerned. It truly was Kent’s business night of the year. My congratulations go to the finalists and worthy winners for achieving so much in a tough economic climate. This is a great county to do business in and, better placed than most to take advantage of the many opportunities ahead.”
