Solutions for Chinese Water Challenges at Aquatech China

The seventh edition of Aquatech China will reflect the high demands for water technology solutions in a country where the growing need for water exceeds the supply. The Chinese water sector is facing enormous challenges and Aquatech China offers a platform for all water professionals to come together and find solutions for these challenges.

It is no coincidence that, since the exhibition was launched in 2008, Aquatech China has grown rapidly over the past six years. In addition to increasing in terms of space, the number of exhibitors and visitors has risen by almost 50% a year, reflecting the need for high-end water technology solutions in the exciting Chinese water sector. Aquatech China will be held from 25 to 27 June in Shanghai.

Aquatech China is the leading trade exhibition for process, drinking and waste water. The exhibition offers 75,000 square metres of water technology solutions and much more besides. Visitors from all over Asia and further afield will be able to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments during events such as the  Water Treatment Engineering Conference for Environmental Protection in East China; the very first Industrial Leaders Forum China; the well-known AquaStages and a Pumps Technology Summit.  Aquatech China is co-located with FlowEx China, which focuses on everything to do with pumps, valves and pipes.

As industry in China continues to expand, industrial companies which consume lots of water in their processes need to respond to the challenges of water shortage and pollution. This requires reducing the water-related impact of their internal and external value chain operations, and committing to an improved and sustainable way of using water.

The organisers of Aquatech Global Events are convinced of the importance of promoting sustainable water consumption and have made the Industrial Leaders Forum an important part of all Aquatech exhibitions. Industrial leaders such as Yanjing Beer, H&M, Coca-Cola and Akzo Nobel will share their water stewardship journey and also participate in the panel discussion together with organisations such as WWF and China Water Risk. The audience will include corporate leaders, sustainability managers, heads of environment, health and safety departments, risk managers, operations and engineering VPs, as well as representatives from NGOs and water technology companies.

The active involvement of the financial and advisory sectors in the form of HSBC and McKinsey completes the debate and reflects the need for the industry to actively seek new strategic partnerships and solutions.
