Water Quality Monitoring
Experienced Development and Manufacturing of Water Quality Sensors
Aug 09 2012
With more than 50 years of experience in the development and the manufacturing of physicochemical sensors applied to the control of water quality, Ponsel (France) is an experienced member of the water analysis world.
Recently, a new chapter in the story begins with the launching of the new numerical inductive conductivity sensor. Ponsel would like to remind people that their range is offering solutions for: pH/redox/T°C ; Conductivity /Salinity/T°C ; Turbidity (nephelometry/T°C) and dissolved Oxygen (optical)/ T°C. All the sensors operate on a principle of digital Modbus communication (RS485 and SDI12).
Séverine VARY, PONSEL’s product manager, explains: “We are now more and more successful with the digital sensors which provide a very flexible solution. The demand for inductive conductivity came from customers integrating our existing range and looking for a reliable solution for conductivity measurement in hard solutions. The toroidal technology allows letting the sensor for a long period on the field, with no maintenance”.
How can they explain this success? Stanislas Rault, CEO of Aqualabo Group, gave more info: “first of all, we have a great Research and Development team, working hard to develop state of the art sensors; Then, the quality of our production makes our customers and resellers very confident about us; And finally, we made the strategic decision to work with open communication protocol that is very well appreciated by our partners. We are very impressed by all nice solutions developed by our customers (wireless, floating systems, etc…) and we support them because I am convinced these are the solutions of the future”.
What about the next projects for Ponsel? “With the acquisition of Perax by Aqualabo group, we are able to provide complete and turnkey monitoring solutions. We also develop new products: calibration of the probe with a smart phone, new parameters, we keep our eyes open on the new technologies and we develop innovative solutions”.
