Introducing the ST5 Evo Automatic Isokinetic Sampler

Matts Monitors have introduced Dado Lab’s ST5 Evo to the UK market. The ST5 Evo is the evolved version of the popular ST5 Isokinetic sampler, developed to be easier and cheaper to use and maintain, whilst improving health and safety. The perfect companion for stack testers.

The ST5 Evo is composed of two units, the control unit and the pump unit. The Evo is designed to allow the user to take only the control unit (6kg) up to the sampling point, while the heavy pump unit can be left on the ground and connected only by Inexpensive suction tube and power cable. The ST5 Evo can be integrated in any existing sampling line even from other manufacturer probes or devices.

Sampling line (Out-stack) composition:

1) Gooseneck with interchangeable nozzles

2) Type S Pitot Tube

3) HP5 Heated Probe mod.

4) Inner tube (and optional secondary gas Sampling line)

5) Slide and Lock Device

6) HUB for Outstack filterholder and 4DL manifold

7) Filterholder

8) Impingers train for water condensation

9) Athermal Box w/ support foam

10) Silica Gel Protection Trap

11) Umbilical cable (including 4TC + Pitot tube + 2 Thermoregulators + Suction tube)

12) ST5 Evo Automatic Isokinetic Sampler

The ST5 Evo has built-in thermoregulators which are programmable directly from the instrument. They can pilot the thermoregulation of other manufacturers’ devices.

Operators also appreciate the STS Evo’s lower connection costs - With other solutions, if you need very long umbilical cables, the costs of those are very high. The ST5 Evo Control Unit connects to the isokinetic probe, with a short umbilical cable, usually 5 meters is enough, and then the connection between the Control Unit (CU) and the Pump Unit (PU) is achieved with a normal suction tube and power cable which is very cheap and easy to replace.

This lighter weight sampler is easy and inexpensive to upgrade, offers remote data transfer and exceeds all EN 13284 and EN 1948-1, with its velocity and flowrate determination meeting EN16911 and EN15259. Matts Monitors can also supply systems adapted for all micro-pollutant side sampling.
