Compact Weather Station – Now with Free Online Data Viewing and Sharing
Jul 20 2016
The Delta-T Devices (UK) WS-GP1 Weather Station is a complete, portable, research-grade solution for recording weather data. It can be carried by one person, set up in minutes, and requires minimal maintenance. The WS-GP1’s sensors measure rainfall, solar radiation, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity and air temperature. The sensors are dependable, carefully matched, and suitable for use in demanding environments.
The WS-GP1 Weather Station now comes with DeltaLINK-Cloud - a free online data service that enables easy collection, viewing and sharing of weather station sensor data. DeltaLINK-Cloud is a secure cloud-based connectivity, data management and automatic data retrieval solution. The website allows users to monitor the status of their devices, graph and export the uploaded data and share access to data with project collaborators and stakeholders. All website functionality comes for free and is accessible from most modern internet capable devices (phones, tablets and computers).
At the heart of the WS-GP1 Weather Station is the powerful GP1 Data Logger. It can handle a wide range of data logging applications and comes complete with DeltaLINK software. DeltaLINK makes it easy to check sensor operation, set up recording intervals, and view and download logged data. The GP1’s internal battery provides 6 months’ weather station operation (typical). Logged data can be collected with a laptop computer or by using the GPRS modem options.
