The First Stand-Alone Moisture Measuring Instrument with TÜV Approval
Apr 07 2015
The new AFRISO (Germany) MFM 22 moisture measuring instrument is an ideal tool for accurate and standards-compliant evaluation of the residual moisture content and temperature of pellets, wood chips and log wood; it meets the stringent requirements of the German emission protection regulations. MFM 22 is the first stand-alone moisture measuring instrument with approval as per VDI 4206. The approval comprises the measuring instrument itself as well as the hammer electrode and the insertion electrode for pellets and wood chips. The integrated three-point mean value function (result as a mean value of measurements at three reference points of the split log) also complies with the requirements of the German emission protection act. The new MFM 22 measuring instrument can also be used to measure the moisture or water content of concrete, screed, gypsum, brickwork, plaster, straw, etc. MFM 22 features an LC display and connections for special wood probes, material probes and a temperature probe. 400 wood characteristics and 28 construction material characteristics for determination of the moisture content as per the German emission protection act are stored in the software of the device and can be selected by simply pressing a button. A Favourites function with frequently measured firewood types and wood chips ensures that the device is ready for operation in almost no time and makes day-to-day use a lot easier. MFM 22 simultaneously displays the current moisture and a further parameter (selected material or temperature). The menu lets you indicate moisture (u) or water content (w). In addition, the device provides a fast evaluation of the condition of the material via a reference value "DRY" to "WET".
The moisture measuring instrument features a visual range alarm, an automatic Hold function and a Logger function for individual measured values. A comprehensive range of accessories including ram electrodes, insertion electrodes, hammer electrodes and brush electrodes, optional electrodes for paper and textiles as well as a case allows the device to be used in a great variety of applications. MFM 22 is a user-friendly all-rounder and an indispensable tool for chimney sweeps, experts, architects, companies specialised in the area of water damage, wood-processing companies, etc.
