Apr 15 2014
NOVA, the latest range of professional sound level meters launched by Pulsar Instruments plc (UK), promises exceptional user experience, performance, accuracy and battery life. The meters are perfect for monitoring noise levels in a variety of work environments, with the view to collecting evidence and helping to address any noise at work issues.
When it comes to expertise in noise measurement, Pulsar Instruments have become the name to look out for. This latest range of six sound meters combine the latest in digital technology and software development with the best of British engineering, making them ideal for both environmental and occupational noise applications.
The meters, designed and manufactured entirely in Yorkshire are ideal for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) professionals seeking to meet the noise at work standards and regulations, and enable users to benefit from 45 years of expertise in industrial and occupational noise measurement. The Nova offer an extensive selection of measurement functions and are compliant to the IEC 61672-1 standard for Class 1 and Class 2 sound level meters.
The NOVA is in keeping with the philosophy of Pulsar which is to produce simple to use meters that can make accurate measurements even in the hands of an unskilled user. The meters are also realistically priced without compromising on quality and durability.
NOVA is a major advance in noise at work measurement and offers: Exceptional battery life, typically 30 hours on standard alkaline AA cells, High definition colour OLED, large anti-glare display, 4GB removable memory card, Dynamic range of 20dB(A) to 140dB(A) and 143dB(C), Rugged die-cast metal case, Simultaneous measurement of all key parameters, Unique calibration prompt, and Standard and advanced data viewing methods.
Great care has been taken to make the NOVA a cut above the rest. Its menu structure has been much simplified from previous units. The intuitive design means that no learning time is required to make a basic noise measurement reading and all the parameters required are displayed to view at the touch of a button.
Once the measurements have been taken, they can be transferred to a PC using Pulsar AnalyzerPlus software. This will enable you to perform further analysis, displaying the results in various graphical formats.
Pulsar Instruments has developed a reputation for producing durable, practical precision equipment that can perform in any environment. The company is responsible for all after-sales and recalibration services, and spare parts, software updates and ongoing support are always available. Pulsar are an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company (Certificate FS517347), so customers can be confident that Pulsar noise monitoring solutions will always live up to, if not exceed, your expectations.
