Motionless detector of the new generation
Jul 21 2011
Since rescue personnel frequently endanger their own lives when saving others, motionless detectors are used as a personal early warning device and security system. The Bodyguard 1000 expands the product family as a "standalone" motionless detector.
Every day, personnel of fire departments and employees in mining and industry are exposed to life-threatening situations, working in narrow channels, shafts and industrial plants. To provide them with the best possible protection under these extreme working conditions, the Dräger Bodyguard 1000 features a new motionless detector used as a personal early warning device and personal security system. It complies with the German fire service regulation 7 as an emergency signal for locating injured or fallen respiratory protection equipment carriers and it is recommended as additional equipment.
Every person equipped with respiratory protection equipment will have increased personal security by being equipped with a motionless detector. In the event that the wearer is motionless, the device sends clear audible and visual signals. After several seconds of inactivity, the device sounds a warning; this can be adjusted individually. After this time has elapsed, eight seconds are left for the user to lift the warning state. Then the alarm starts. This enables rescue teams to locate and find injured colleagues faster. If immediate support assistance is required, the alarm can be triggered manually at any time.
