Dec 01 2009
Cirrus Research (UK) is advising businesses to ensure that they are conforming to Noise at Work regulations. Designed specifically for noise at work applications, Cirrus sees its entry level CR:262A Sound Level Meter as a cost effective way for businesses to protect themselves from potential litigation.
James Tingay, Group Marketing Manager of Cirrus Research explains:
“Although many companies are holding back from investing in new equipment because of the economic climate to save on costs, this can be false economy! Our entry level CR:262A sound level meters are designed to help organisations keep within the letter of the law with regards to noise safety; potentially saving companies from expensive litigation.
The CR:262A is a cost effective, entry level model ideal for many organisation’s needs and is manufactured to the same high quality standard as all Cirrus products. Robust and easy to use, the CR:262A is ideally suited for users who are looking to make noise at work measurements but don’t want to have to learn how to use complicated instruments.”
He went on to say…
“Although businesses may be tempted by cheaper instruments manufactured in the Far East, often these cannot be calibrated to correctly meet the requirements of UK Noise at Work regulations. All Cirrus products are
made in the UK and with all calibration and repairs carried out by our in house team of experts, customers can be sure that spare parts are always available and that repairs and servicing are completed swiftly and correctly.”
As with all Cirrus equipment, CR:262A sound level meters are issued with a comprehensive ‘2-12’ year warranty. This provides an initial 24-month warranty which can be extended up to 12 years if the equipment is serviced and recalibrated by Cirrus every 12 months. Free backup and support, including license free software and updates, is provided with every Cirrus noise measurement product.
