Hire demand for new advanced XRF metals analyser

XRF analysers provide fast, non-destructive, qualitative and quantitative assessment of metals and alloys in a variety of materials. However, the XL2 GOLDD XRF analyser can provide precise analysis up to 10 times quicker than existing analysers and can detect elements with atomic numbers as low as thirteen (including Magnesium and Aluminium), providing the user with portable, lab quality analysis in an easy to use, point-and-shoot instrument.

The lower detection levels of the XL2 increase the range of applications for which the device can be used, including quality control in manufacturing, metal evaluation in power stations and refineries and for surveyors in the analysis of old structures prior to renovation. XRF analysers are also popular in the assessment of contaminated land and the testing of materials for compliance with the RoHS Regulations and the WEEE Directive.

The addition of the XL2 to the Ashtead Technology fleet is the latest example of the company's commitment to supply the world's best technologies. General Manager Alan Hasson added: “Our main goal is to put the right instruments into the hands of those that need them. This means: reacting to changing customer needs; stocking a large fleet of the latest technologies; delivering on time, every time; providing a high level of technical support and offering flexible financial packages that meet customers’ differing budgets."
