Gas detection
Continuous Monitoring for Cost-Effective Protection
Aug 10 2016
A fixed gas detection system protects your assets whilst helping to fine tune your process and improve efficiency. It is designed to negate the need for labour intensive manual gas monitoring to be completed. Furthermore, it is easier and more cost effective to maintain than portable gas analysis as it is less susceptible to loss and damage.
Geotech’s GA3000 PLUS is a robust fixed position gas analyser that helps customers do that and more. It monitors CH4, CO2 and O2 with the additional option to measure H2S, H2 and CO. Its multipoint sampling enables users to analyse gas from up to three sample points with various ranges for the H2S option of between 50 and 10,000ppm. It also protects the measurement technology by periodically air purging the system and delivers outputs including the industry standard 4-20mA and MODBUS RTU.
Additional communication options include Profibus DP and Profinet. Model variants include systems specifically designed for different applications including desulphurisation efficiency and CHP engine protection.
The GA3000 PLUS comes equipped with a large and clear backlit display for low light conditions that shows ‘at a glance’ monitoring values, making it easy for busy technicians to monitor levels whilst they are on the go.
The GA3000 PLUS comes in a self-contained IP65 stainless steel enclosure with an optional internal ATEX approved heater avoiding condensation problems, increasing the lowest operating temperature from 0°C to -20°C. The unit contains a moisture filter designed to protect the system and prevent damage from moisture ingress as a result of process moisture or condensed water vapour. The automatic drain option is also available to drain the collected moisture automatically, ultimately reducing the need for regular onsite maintenance.
The system is designed to avoid unnecessary downtime as operators can easily install a temporary replacement analyser ensuring service periods are trouble free and allow the user to then have their analyser serviced at Geotech’s worldwide network of approved service distributors. The GA3000 PLUS needs only to be calibrated every six months allowing users to enjoy low service frequency and cost.
Ultimately, the GA3000 PLUS offers 24-hour monitoring that reduces dependency on onsite personnel and provides assurance that process gas is being monitored at all times. Beyond that, it also provides safeguard to your business by detecting anomalies.
