Mid Infrared LEDs and Photodiodes
Feb 04 2013
The new optoelectronic components, for various analysing purposes, is produced and manufactured by LED Microsensor NT, LLC (Russia). The company offers efficient mid infrared LEDs and photodiodes for 1.6-5.0 µm spectral range that are to be integrated into sensor systems for NDIR gas analysis, moisture detection, thickness control and many other applications.
LED technology brings many advantages compared to conventional infrared sources such as heat elements and lasers. Low power consumption (<1 mW), short response time (10-50 ns), modulation ranges of up to 100 MHz, long lifetime (10 years), very compact size of the LED die (0.4x0.4 mm), possibility to arrange multi-element arrays (single or different wavelengths) open completely new possibilities for portable sensors creation. A wide range of standard SMD and TO-type packages with/without thermoelectric cooling are offered.
For the quick start LED Microsensor NT, LLC provide several evaluation kits: universal sample kits that include a set of diodes with related electronics and more complicated evaluation systems for preliminary tests with CO2 and CH4 detection that comprise LED-PD modules with integrated optics and electronics.
