Gas detection
New Gas Detector Offers Remote Monitoring, Flexibility and Ease-of-Use for a Variety of Environments
Oct 08 2010
Honeywell (UK) announce the launch of Sensepoint XCD Remote Flammable Detector (RFD), a gas transmitter specifically designed for use with remotely mounted flammable gas sensors.
Sensepoint XCD combines cost-effective performance and maintenance with ease of use and the flexibility to meet the demands of a wide range of varied environments requiring the detection of flammable gases.
The remote mount aspect of Sensepoint XCD RFD makes the device ideal for challenging environments where detection is difficult, such as locations that are hard to reach and require separate sensor mounting from the transmitter or hot environments where ambient temperatures reach up to 150°C/302°F. The transmitter can be mounted at a suitable location up to 30 metres/100 feet away from the sensor, providing users with easy access to the device’s interface and the ability to remotely configure the transmitter away from the sensor itself.
Sensepoint XCD RFD is certified for use in hazardous areas by ATEX (European) and IECEx (International).
